Vålerenga Fotball has been fined following fan misconduct at Åråsen. The club has accepted a penalty of 197,125 kroner from the Norwegian Football Association's disciplinary board for breaches of security regulations.

The disturbances included the use of fireworks, flares, and objects being thrown onto the pitch during the match against Lillestrøm. Damage to toilets, LED advertising boards, and the pitch was also reported after the game. Vålerenga confirmed the matter is concluded after accepting the fine.

The club is now working to identify the individuals who violated club rules and committed vandalism. The club's security chief has called all supporter groups to a meeting to enforce a zero-tolerance policy towards vandalism, fireworks, and object throwing.

“Sanction cases will be opened and supporters will be banned,” Vålerenga Fotball said in a statement.

The incident comes as the team sits 12th in the Eliteserien with 23 points from 21 games. Their last five results read loss, draw, loss, draw, draw. The team's current league position is available in the official standings.
