Vålerenga Fotball and Ranheim have agreed on a loan deal for Stian Sjøvold. The Trondheim midfielder will play the spring season in OBOS-ligaen, where the club from the fjord will use the national loan order. - Stian is a player we have extreme faith in, and we are loaning him out for the next two months so he can get games at a high level and be even better prepared, says sports director Joacim Jonsson and continues: - He has finally had a full pre-season, and now he needs to play games at the highest possible level. We have rigged ourselves extra on some positions where we know there can be sales over the summer, and when we then have all the fresh ones, we are a bit overpopulated. Geir Bakke informed the player group about the agreement with Ranheim on Friday's training, and the main person himself is looking forward to getting the opportunity to play games. - I have been here for four years now, taken steps and become better year by year. It's time to try and play a bit more consistently and get 90 minutes in my legs, so I'll hopefully be even better when I come back here again, says Sjøvold and continues: - It's a good team with many Trønders, so it will be nice to come home to that. Ranheim has a clear playing style that I think suits me, and a young coaching team as well as players I know well from before. I think I'll fit in well there, so I'm just looking forward to getting started, he concludes. - We wish Stian all the best and look forward to seeing him back in royal blue after the summer!
