Vålerenga Fotball travel to Sarpsborg for a new Eliteserien match on Sunday, 6 September 2026. The match kicks off at 16:00 at Sarpsborg Stadion and is part of the ongoing season in the Norwegian top flight.
The fixture is being covered live. For Vålerenga, this comes after a difficult result. The team lost 3-4 to Molde at home at Intility Arena just a week prior, on 30 August. That result gives a recent form of 0 wins, 0 draws, and 1 loss.
The team's last match was a close and dramatic affair against Molde. Although Vålerenga scored three goals, it wasn't enough for points. Following that game, the team is ready for its next challenge away from home. This is an important period in the season where every single point counts.
Sarpsborg 08 is an established Eliteserien side that always challenges opponents at home. For Vålerenga, this is about getting back to winning ways and securing a good result on the road. Away matches demand extra focus and discipline from the entire squad. The win against Molde slipped away at the last minute.
The match will be broadcast live. For those without access to the broadcast, Norwegian media will likely have summaries and highlights after full-time.
After the visit to Sarpsborg, new matches in the Eliteserien await. The team's injury updates and player statistics can always be checked on our stats pages and injuries page.
