Vålerenga Fotball now has the confirmed kick-off times for its final eight matches of the 2026 Eliteserien season. The fixtures for rounds 23 through 30 have been officially scheduled.
The Norwegian Football Federation stated it has, "in consultation with Norsk Toppfotball, TV 2 and Fotball Media, selected TV matches and scheduled the matches in Eliteserien from round 23 to and including round 30." This provides the club and its supporters with a complete overview of the autumn schedule. The team enters this period following a 3-4 loss to Molde on August 30th, with a key away fixture against Sarpsborg 08 FF coming up on September 7th.
The first match in this new plan is a local derby against KFUM Oslo on Monday, October 12th at 19:00. This is followed by a home clash against Brann at Intility Arena on Sunday, October 18th at 17:00. A rescheduled match from round 12, postponed due to the football World Cup, will be played against Bodø/Glimt on Saturday, October 24th at 16:00.
The rest of the autumn continues with a home game against Tromsø on Sunday, November 1st at 19:15, an away match at Kristiansund on Saturday, November 7th at 16:00, and a home fixture against Start on Saturday, November 21st at 18:00. The season finale is intense with an away game at Viking on Sunday, November 29th at 19:15, a home match against Rosenborg on Saturday, December 5th at 18:00, and finally an away trip to Sandefjord on Sunday, December 13th at 17:00.
With a clear schedule, the coaching staff can structure training and recovery more precisely. The team's recent form, with a loss in its last outing, highlights the need for a stable period. Defensive vulnerabilities exposed in the defeat to Molde must be addressed before this autumn run.
The plan includes several demanding away trips and key home fixtures. The match against Rosenborg at home in early December could be particularly significant for the final league position. To keep track of the competition, the standings page is useful.
Squad depth will be important in a congested autumn period. The team must cope with the absence of two players currently sidelined with injury: F. Ambina and M. Sjoeng. Their return will be important for strengthening the squad. A full overview of the playing staff is available on the squad page.
The coaches must consider how to best manage minutes across eight matches in just over two months. Rotation and tactical adjustments will be necessary, especially with short turnarounds between some of the fixtures.
For the fans, the finalised schedule provides the opportunity to organise travel and tickets for both home and away matches. The prime-time slots, with several matches on weekends and in the afternoon/evening, cater to both TV viewers and attending supporters.
Highlights include the traditional clash against Brann at home and the season finale against Rosenborg. The final away match at Sandefjord could potentially decide a lot. Before the autumn run begins, Vålerenga faces Sarpsborg 08 FF away on September 7th.
