Vålerenga Fotball may get a new manager after Truls Haakonsen's departure. Martin Andresen is now the favorite to take over the role.
What happened?
Truls Haakonsen is leaving his position as sports director of Vålerenga Fotball due to «disagreement about direction». He has been in the role since March 2008, but now it's the end.
Who takes over?
Martin Andresen has been acting as sports director since Haakonsen was suspended on October 31. He may now become permanently appointed to the role, similar to the one Ole Gunnar Solskjær has in Molde.
What does the board say?
Bjørn Viljugrein, head of the sports committee, and Odd Skarheim, chairman, are both positive about giving Andresen a chance. — We will have meetings, look at and evaluate the situation, says Viljugrein.
